Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU), Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) is a specialized state veterinary university established on 25 October 2001 under U.P. Act No. 27 of 2001. Located at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Mathura, it is the first of its kind in Uttar Pradesh and the fourth in India. The institution is recognized by the UGC and affiliated with ICAR, making it a premier center for veterinary education and cattle research in the country. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, and Fisheries Science. Its flagship program is the B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry), alongside specialized M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through national-level entrance exams such as NEET UG/PG and ICAR AIEEA. Spread across 2,100 acres (Main Campus & Madhuri Khund Campus), DUVASU is equipped with teaching veterinary hospitals, dairy farms, laboratories, and research centers. U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan, popularly known as DUVASU Mathura, was established in 2001 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). It is one of India’s leading veterinary universities, dedicated to animal sciences, dairy technology, and veterinary medicine. The university offers undergraduate (B.V.Sc & A.H.), postgraduate (M.V.Sc.), diploma, and doctoral programs (Ph.D.) in veterinary sciences and allied fields. Admissions are conducted through NEET UG, AIEEA (ICAR), and university-level entrance exams, depending on the program. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCB for UG programs, graduation in veterinary sciences for PG programs, and a master’s degree for doctoral studies. Fees are affordable compared to private institutions, with UG programs ranging between ₹50,000–₹80,000 per year and PG programs between ₹60,000–₹1,00,000 per year, making veterinary education accessible to students across India.
