About
The Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota, founded in 2006, is one of the largest technical universities in India. It was established by the Government of Rajasthan to oversee and regulate technical education across the state. RTU is located on the 385-acre campus of the former Engineering College Kota (ECK), which itself dates back to 1981.
RTU is approved by AICTE and recognized by the UGC, making its degrees nationally valid. The university affiliates a wide network of institutions, including engineering, management, architecture, MCA, and hotel management colleges, ensuring standardized technical education across Rajasthan.
The campus at Rawatbhata Road, Kota, is equipped with modern laboratories, computer centers, workshops, a central library, hostels, and sports facilities. RTU conducts undergraduate (B.Tech, B.Arch, BHMCT), postgraduate (M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Arch), and doctoral programs (Ph.D.). Admissions are through JEE Main/REAP (UG), GATE/CAT/CMAT (PG), and RTU DAT (Ph.D.).

Admissions Open 2026: Courses, Eligibility & Fees
RTU Kota was founded in 2006 and is recognized by the UGC with NAAC accreditation. It offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, B.Arch, and Ph.D. programs. Admissions are conducted through JEE Main (for B.Tech), REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process), NATA (for B.Arch), and CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT (for MBA). Eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for engineering and graduation in relevant disciplines for PG programs. Fees are affordable compared to private institutions, with B.Tech programs around ₹70,000–₹90,000 per year and MBA programs around ₹60,000–₹80,000 per year

Scholarships & Fee Concessions
RTU supports students through government scholarships (SC/ST/OBC, minority, EWS) and institutional merit-based concessions. Fee waivers are extended to economically weaker sections, while merit scholarships are awarded to top-performing students in JEE Main, REAP, NATA, and MBA entrance exams. On average, 25–30% of students benefit from scholarships annually, making education inclusive and affordable
